Management of daily purchasing function

• Ensure that local sourcing and procurement will be executed by following requirements for goods and supply in terms of quality, price and availability

• Manage the local suppliers for performance and cost improvements

• Assist global sourcing for local implementation

• Manage the creation of appropriate agreements and pricelist with local vendors

• Maintain close cooperation with Engineering, Quality, Global Procurement and Sourcing, Markets, Sales and approved Vendors to ensure that opportunities for cost leadership will be implemented

• Actively ensure that favorable price development to continue and Valmet will have knowledge of true market price and Valmet’s position as a buyer within the market

• Keep the material and vendor sourcing information up-to-date for local vendors at all relevant Baan/Compass companies

• Coordination with all department related to procurement function.

• Responsiveness to customer inquiries for price and lead-time

Management of local procurement engineering support function and item management

• Management of relevant item level data in Baan/Compass for all relevant companies

• Management of engineering support for purchasing.

• Follow up Management decision.

Cost, performance and KPI follow-up

• Cost reporting and follow-up for local supply chain according to global policies

• Lead-time analysis for supply lead-time, item request lead-time and other business critical lead times

• KPI and performance metric reporting for local operations according to global standard

The success in this role will be measured against following KPI’s

• Cost savings from local suppliers

• Payment Term of supplier according to Valmet standard.

• Volume of Purchases from cost competitive countries (CCC) based on global sourcing guidelines

• Supplier On-time delivery, availability, quality and lead-time from local vendors

• Others needed decide by Management.

Basic Requirements-

• (educations, experience, qualifications, licenses, capacity and behavior) Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

• A minimum of 1 years of operational experience for managing PROCUREMENT operations (in the same field of service will be better).

• Ability to quickly gain a deep understand of business processes and products

• Excellent skills in English, both written and verbal

• Good working knowledge of ERP systems with experience with Baan and Valmet reporting tools a plus. Normal windows applications.

• Understanding of Valmet sourcing processes is preferred.

• Proven ability to implement strategies, develop networks and build teams

• Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills

• Strong influencing skills across organizations and cultural boundaries

• Ability to travel
